Denso Navigation

The optional 7-in. touch-screen Denso® DVD-based navigation system (standard on R) can be easily programmed to locate any destination by address or street intersections; it may also be used to locate such necessities like ATMs, restaurants or fuel stations. Frequently used destinations like your home or office can be stored in the memory for easy accessibility.

Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

Bluetooth wireless technology seamlessly connects your Jaguar-approved compatible phone to your S-TYPE, enabling hands-free communication through a concealed overhead microphone, steering wheel controls, and the vehicle´s audio system. Engage the optional JaguarVoice system to enable features like voice-activated dialing (available on R and VDP), phonebook (with certain phones), and caller ID (with certain calling plans; viewable through the radio display or Navigation screen).

SIRIUS® Satellite Radio

With over 120 channels of 100% commercial-free music, sports, news and talk radio of every variety, the available SIRIUS satellite radio provides continuous entertainment 24 hours a day, in any location, and under any weather conditions. (Available as an option or dealer fit accessory. Subscription sold separately.)

Sound Systems

While an outstanding 8-speaker, 140-watt AM/FM single CD player is standard on the 3.0, a 10-speaker, 320-watt Alpine® sound system with 6-CD changer comes standard on all other models. Utilizing Digital Signal Processing (DSP), this audiophile´s delight creates exact crossover points, optimizing signals for individual speakers, and modifies the signal using a 4-band parametric equalizer to compensate for the vehicle´s own acoustics. Combined with Alpine´s DDDrive™, a proprietary system involving lighter magnets for more exact sound reproduction, the result is smooth and clear audio across the entire spectrum.

JaguarVoice

JaguarVoice (available on VDP Edition and S-TYPE R as a dealer fit accessory) allows drivers hands-free communication. Program the optional navigation system, adjust the climate control, make phone calls with a Jaguar-approved Bluetooth®-enabled phone, or adjust the radio or CD, simply by pressing the steering wheel´s "voice" button, then speaking.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control (optional on R) senses ever-changing traffic conditions, automatically maintaining a designated following distance from the vehicle ahead. In addition, the Forward Alert system may be programmed to simply notify drivers when the traffic ahead is slowing down.

Climate Control

Drivers and front passengers may utilize independent temperature settings, ensuring their respective levels of comfort. Select "auto" and the controlled interior environment remains constant, regardless of outside conditions.

Memory Settings

Memory settings (optional on 3.0, standard on all other models) store up to 2 different customized positions for the driver´s seat, pedals, steering wheel and exterior door mirrors. Regardless of who was last behind the wheel, drivers may return to their own personal settings with the touch of a button.

Electronic Parking Brake

A replacement for the traditional handbrake, Jaguar´s Electronic Parking Brakeautomatically engages when the key is removed from the ignition and automatically releases when the vehicle shifts into gear. Conveniently located just behind the gearshift, it can be manually engaged or disengaged with the touch of a finger when the brake is depressed.
