Jaguar Smart Key System

The available Jaguar Smart Key System allows the XK´s locking and starting systems to be easily activated by the driver.

As you approach the vehicle with the key fob in your pocket or purse, Keyless Entry interprets the signal and validates the code. When you lift the door handle, it unlocks the doors.

Inside, Keyless Start validates your presence and—with your foot engaging the brake—allows you simply to press the center console´s "Start/Stop" button to start the engine and begin driving.

Touchscreen

The Jaguar XK´s single-screen delivery of audio, navigation, climate control, telephone, and vehicle settings is the first ever application of Macromedia® Flash, the state of the art graphics system that powers some of the world´s most exciting multimedia presentations.

The system features a Polysilicon Thin Film Transitor Liquid Crystal Display and a 200 MHz processor for clear, fast access to the control of many vehicle systems.

Audio System

The standard 160-watt, 6-speaker Jaguar Sound System includes an in-dash 6-CD player, and supports MP3 and Windows® Media Audio music files. The optional 525-watt, 8-speaker Alpine® Premium Sound System with Dolby® ProLogic® II surround sound and SIRIUS® Satellite Radio* is the most powerful in the class.

Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

Bluetooth wireless technology seamlessly connects your Jaguar-approved compatible phone to your XK, enabling hands-free communication through a concealed overhead microphone, steering wheel controls, and the touchscreen.

Satellite Navigation

Use the DVD-based satellite navigation to locate your destination—by address, cross street, ZIP Code, or point of interest—and receive visual and audible guidance as you drive. Additional features include alerting the driver of upcoming cautionary street signs, gas station callouts when fuel is low, a warning if the gas tank does not contain enough fuel to reach the destination, revised route calculations if the driver deviates from the intended route, and personal settings for up to three drivers.

Climate Control

A sophisticated climate control system incorporates heating and cooling, cabin filtration, humidity control and window demisting. Dual-zone temperatures from 60° F to 82° F can be set independently for the driver and front passenger to ensure tailored comfort.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Operated by controls mounted directly on the steering wheel, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)—available as part of the Advanced Technology Package—uses radar technology to monitor for slower moving traffic ahead, applying the brakes when required to help maintain a set distance from the traffic ahead. When the road ahead clears, the system automatically increases the XK´s speed to the level set by the driver.

Driver Information Display

The instrument cluster houses two prominent, backlit dials: one for speedometer functions, the other for the tachometer. The two round dials flank a full-color Liquid Crystal Display screen that uses an overhead view of the XK to display vital information to the driver, including low tire pressure, low fuel warning, trip odometer, engine warning, low engine oil pressure, low brake fluid, and open door warning.

Seating

The driver and front passenger seats are designed to be a perfect combination of ergonomic efficiency and uncompromising luxury. 10-way adjustable seats have side bolsters that fit snugly around the driver and leather seating surfaces come standard.

Luxury Package

For the most of discerning of drivers, the available Luxury Package includes softgrain leather seats, leather-wrapped console, door inserts, and instrument panel, 16-way driver and passenger seats, heated wood and leather steering wheel, and 19" Carelia wheels.

Electronic Parking Brake

The Electronic Parking Brake engages automatically when ´Park´ is selected, disengaging automatically when the vehicle is in gear and the accelerator is pressed. This provides added convenience and safety when parking or pulling away, along with eliminating the possibility of accidentally driving with the parking brake on.

Acoustic Refinement

The XK is designed to suppress specific, undesirable road noise and vibration from entering the cabin while allowing important feedback noise from the 4.2-liter V8 engine and the performance exhaust to reach you.
