Styling

Wheel Styles

The X-TYPE´s wheels vary from the 16-in., 7-spoke Antares (standard on the 3.0), the 17-in., 7-spoke Cayman wheels (available as an option on 3.0; standard on the Sportwagon), and the 17-inch Aguila wheels (standard on the X-TYPE Sport). Custom wheels are also available for all models.

Reverse Park Control

Detect unseen obstacles behind you when parking with the Reverse Park Control (standard on the VDP; optional on other models). Ultrasonic sensors audibly beep—increasing in frequency as you get closer—when an obstacle is in your path while in reverse to help keep you and your X-TYPE safe.

Rain-sensing Wipers

Sensors built into the vehicle´s exterior automatically detect precipitation, deploying the windshield wipers at an appropriate level; keep the headlamps in automatic mode, and the lights automatically turn on whenever the wipers do.

Power Moonroof

An intelligently designed luxury car never puts comfort and convenience ahead of safety. The X-TYPE´s power tilt-and-slide glass moonroof, standard on the Sportwagon and available on X-TYPE 3.0 with the Moonroof Package, features not merely one-touch activation for fast opening and closing, but also an anti-trap function.

Automatic Headlamps

The X-TYPE VDP Edition features automatic headlamp activation. A light sensor monitors outside light levels. As levels fall, the parking lights and low-beam lights automatically turn on to help increase your visibility to other vehicles. Automatic headlamps are available on X-TYPE 3.0, Sport, and Sportwagon with the Premium Package. For the ultimate in illumination, the X-TYPE Sport comes with Xenon headlamps.

Power/Heated Door Mirrors

Power-adjustable door mirrors are standard on all models, allowing you to easily adjust your visibility to the side and rear of the vehicle. A heating function quickly defogs the mirrors to clear your view in cooler temperatures.
